[Digestion] generation of electricity through A.D.

Dear List,
all biochemical reactions are accompanied by a cascade of electrons
being transfered through a chain of electron acceptors and donors. I
am quite sure that anaerobic digestion is also accompanied by a
similar cascade of electrons. An A.D.Plant does not produce any heat,
but if such a cascade of electrons occurs in anaerobic digestion, it
might be possible to somehow use this electricity.
