Subject: IEES Symposium: Call for contributions and registration

Dear colleagues,

the main program of our next IEES/ZHAW symposium (taking place in
Waedenswil, Switzerland on January 26-28, 2012) is complete now. A
fine and interesting group of keynote speakers has been put together,
and I hope that you will find the program attractive.

You can download the program (version 1.0) at http://www.iees.ch

Registration is open from now until January 8, 2012 at
http://www.iunr.zhaw.ch/iees2012

We are looking for contributions to the "Cases" Workshop.

The “Cases” workshop will be a bit different from other
conferences. The idea is to share examples for successful or
unsuccessful (if people dare) projects, in order to learn about the
factors that lead to successful projects and about the barriers that
sometimes lead to failures. The workshop tracks will be held on Friday
morning and will last 2 ½ hours with about 5 presentations per track.
There should be ample time for discussion. The presentations should
focus on practical experiences in a project.

Currently, three workshop tracks are confirmed:

Urban Farming & Aquaculture (Chair Prof. Ranka Junge)
Sustainable Sanitation / Ecological Sanitation (Chair N.N.)
Sustainable Water Management / Watershed Management (Chair N.N.)

If you are interested to contribute a case study to one of these
tracks, or organize an additional workshop track please send an
abstract (1/2 A4 page) until Nov. 30, 2011 to
andreas.schoenborn at zhaw.ch. The abstracts will be processed as we
receive them.

Cheers from Switzerland

Andreas Schoenborn
