[Digestion] Production of substrate not constant during the year

G'day Jacopo et al,

Since storage will waste some biogas I would size the digester for the peak
rate (even using a longer retention time) so you actually store the waste in
the digester and let the bugs do their work more thoroughly when you have
less waste. Of course this all depends on costs, as if there is a huge
difference in waste amounts you will need a very big digester.

All the best,
HOOROO

Subject: [Digestion] Production of substrate not constant during the year

Hello everybody.
If the production of my substrates (i.e. milk whey and dairy manure) is not
constant during the year, how could I act?
I mean, working on the feasibility study, should I consider a storage or
something similar?
Can I store whey and manure for some weeks?
Thank you all!

Jacopo Rosselli Del Turco
