[Digestion] Whey as feedstock of AD?

We have a dairy company that is building a yogurt plant and one of our
counties is looking to use their whey by-product as a feedstock for the
digester at their wastewater treatment plant.  Any direction on whether
this is a useful material to use as a substrate would be very helpful.
