Dear Chanakya,

Not directly to what you are referring to there is a group here in Calif.
that is doing research to lower disease and nematodes using a procedure
where an anaerobic solution is pre-deposited in the grow zone a few weeks
before planting. The oxygen demand makes the soil temporary anaerobic
killing all before going aerobic over time. The strawberries are then
planted once aerobic. From what I understand this is often done in China(?)
and so they were trying it here. The research is using a more man-made
solution to get more control over application for the research. Still
ongoing.

You might get more info here:

Frank

Subject: [Digestion] Info request on "Pest Repellent property of dilute
slurry"

Dear List users,
I would be grateful if any of you could forward me any information of
'personal experience' or 'published information' on "pest repellent"
properties of dilute or filtered biogas slurry on agricultural and
horticultural crops. This will be used to convince a few policy makers to
push the case of Biogas plants.
Regards
Chanakya
