Hi Frans Somebody, I spent ages developing means to filter digestate until I discovered I was wasting my time. It is not filterable, it will always clog any static screen. The digestate is full of very fine fiber and will bridge any hole, pore or oriface. Do not go there. Have had success with vibro-filtration of slurry thru a 3mm screen to remove extraneous debris then centrifuge the liquid/digestate as a spill-over process. The centrifuge needs to be able to hold a reasonable quantity of mud before having to be emptied. The refined liquid still holds some very fine fluffy matter. I change the pH to enable a complete separation of colloids from particulates.
The liquid is able to be sprayed normally and the remainder is formulated and pelletized for broadcast.

Hi Peter.
thanks for your input, I had thought of a centrifuge, (being an ex dairy farmer used them to separate the cream!) but having done some reading, size (to hold the solds) is an issue.
What of screw expellers? The Far east sell a lot, (call them de-waterers) all of which they say will work, but can not tell me where one is working.
1 Co in South Africa also makes, & guarantees it will work with droppings, but can not show me one that does, & when asked to put that in writing & take it back if it does not...guess what!
At this stage cost is not an issue, at least it is a place to start & if I have to travell 1/2 way round the globe to see one working I will do so.

We run about 50,000 liters per day from our 1000M? digester through 2 of the Stainless model with 1mm screen ECCO FILTRO Made in Brazil, quite reasonably priced. These do fine with once a day cleaning.
