[Gasification] 1kg of wood + 5 kg of air = 6 kg of producer gas produced

Greetings all.
OK, so the theroy does, hold somewhat true to your ratio's as you have
mentioned, HOWEVER, the problem is that the gasifier will "top out" as air
veocity approches "Terminal Velocity" (The point of not just ash sintering,
(this is overcomeable with vibration) but rather the point of ash
agglomeration and liquifaction) once this process temperature is reached,
there is NO (that I know of) method of removing the now created clinker(s)
without a shutdown and clean out, small clinkers (jacks or coral, sometimes
called) can pass through a respectable system, BUT, large clinker
formations ( Reef or lava flows) will simly sit on the hearth and plug the
system.
This in point, (Excessive air velocity) is the "over maximum" draw point of
said gasifier, so in a nutshell, is the point of no return.
1 to 1.5 is a common ratio, I've seen and heard of different ratios,(and
even use a different one myself), but my methods are non-standard design in
the first place, and have nothing to do with any of the work from the
1940's, except it still being "producer gas".
Much of my own work deals with gas evolution preformance designs, and NOT
better re-formation in the reduction zone, but rather, better liberation
formation above the hearth or reduction zone, so to speak, "goodgas".
Truly, there are basicly 2 methods of making gas.
X) Char burning, tar making (yuck).
Z) Tar burning, Char making (goodgas).
One simple key to "Z" is, if you have an abundance of charcoal above the
hearth, and low to no, "goo" along the outer walls or interlaced in the
char, then you are on the correct track to high preformance gasification.
I'll say the last line above, differently, running a gasifier just under
terminal velocity (the gasifiers cinter/clinker creation point), is the best
point to run, IF the gasifier is designed correctly in the first place.
