There are 600 gas fuel stations (via air gasification!) in China up to 2008.
Each station provides fuel gas for a village of 100 to 500 households.

*This gas composition is (generally):

Tar concentration should reach < 20 mg/Nm3 by water washing.
Waste water is then treated by both physical (decantation) and
biological (using bacteria to decrease COD) processes.
After the treatment of this waste water, the water is re-used in the
process, and "final tar" is landfilled.
I have some recent government reports or Chinese papers about the
situation of gas fuel stations, but in Chinese.
I am preparing a presentation about the gasification status in china for
a conference in Germany, but the powerpoint is not ready.
I can upload a powerpoint and send to the list a link for download after
the conference.
Hope this information is useful for you.
Best regards,
Li
