Dr. Karve,
 
Rather than use wood gas, use the biogas from your biodigester and remove the CO2.  There is less CO2 to remove from the biogas than nitrogen from the wood gas and it is an easier process.
 
You are closer to a more cost effective and energetic solution if you compress methane anyway.
