[Gasification] Graphite Heat Exchangers for Producer Gas?

Tom,

 

With good gasification and particulate filtration fouling should not be an
issue. The condensate should have light tars and salts. The benefits should
be corrosion resistance and heat transfer. 

 

I don't know if graphite filters are affordable. The units used in domestic
boilers are probably compact with tight gas passages which would reduce the
cost but would not be suitable for producer gas.

Dear Tom,
     Graphite is also used for separation of gaseous uranium isotopes
because of it's chemical resistance, diffusion system, Oak Ridge etc.. It
will still foul.
