Dear gasification list subscriber,

I would like to draw your attention to the 1 <http://www.regatec.org/> st International Conference on Renewable Energy Gas Technology, REGATEC 2014.

The conference is directed towards thermo-chemical and biological conversion of biomass and waste to biomethane. REGATEC includes plenary presentations, parallel sessions, a poster session, an exhibition, and a conference gala dinner as well as excellent opportunities to network and find collaboration and business partners.

The speaker list <http://www.regatec.org/speakers> includes high profile gasification and biogas experts from China, India, USA and Europe, representatives for the European Commission, IEA Bioenergy, the European Biogas Association and prominent industrial representatives who will present results and experiences from unique biomethane plants, such as Bioenergy Park Güstrow (the world’s largest biogas and upgrading plant based on energy crops) and GoBiGas (the world’s first industrial scale bioSNG plant).

Biomass gasification and syngas cleaning are of interest for the audience and suppliers and technology providers will be display their products and services in the exhibition <http://www.regatec.org/exhibitors> .

A few examples of gasification related activities are:

Cortus Energy has signed up as a gold sponsor and will display their proprietary gasification technology, WoodRoll®.

VTT has signed up as an exhibitor and will show their gas cleaning activities

Göteborg Energi will present the results from GoBiGas.

Royal Dahlman will present the gasification and gas cleaning technology behind the bioSNG plant in Alkmaar.

Haldor Topsoe will present their TREMP-technology.

Technical university of Munich will show an experimental comparison of fixed bed and slurry reactor systems for catalytic methanation of CO, CO2, and synthesis gas mixtures

Prof. Hofbauer from Technical university of Vienna will give a plenum lecture on indirect gasification.

Prof. Guanyu Chen from Tianjin university will give a plenum lecture on gasification and anaerobic digestion activities in China

There are a limited number of <http://www.regatec.org/sponsors> sponsor and <http://www.regatec.org/exhibitors> exhibitor places at REGATEC that might be of interest for any of the gasification list subscribers. The exhibition fee for 2 x 1.5 m is 3,500 SEK (approx. 395€) and including free participation for two persons 13,500 SEK (approx. 1,550€). The exhibitor prospectus can be found here http://www.regatec.org/Resources/Exhibitor%20prospectus.pdf and the sponsor prospectus here http://regatec.org/Resources/Sponsor%20prospectus.pdf. The ISBN numbered conference proceedings will ensure a global visibility for the sponsors. In addition we will make the conference proceedings available for free download on the conference website to further increase the visibility.

REGATEC 2014 takes place at Scandic Triangeln in Malmö, Sweden 22-23 May 2014 and we expect 250+ participants.

Best regards,

Jörgen Held

PS. I have noticed the active discussion on biochar and pyrolysis and I can recommend the 20 <http://www.pyro2014.co.uk/> th International Symposium on Analytical & Applied Pyrolysis that takes place at the same time as REGATEC 2014. DS.

PS2: BioSNG refers to a synthetically produced gas of natural gas quality made from biogenic feedstock. DS.
