5 w% char is approx. 20 kJ/s and latent heat in the gas is around 40 kJ/s and assuming 5 kJ/s heat losses from the reactor and 5 Kw parasitic electric losses at 33 % efficiency,
the total losses in primary energy is 20+40+5+15 = 80 Kj/s out of 170 KJ/s fuel = 47 %.
It is not bad at all if they can achive that  - but far from 75 % gasification efficiency

Dear Gasifiers,

We built an innovative carbonisation plant, making very high quality charcoal, pyrolysis liquid and fuel gas. Capacity 3.5 tonnes charcoal/day. Suitable for a wide range of biomass types, ranging from nutshell up to wood blocks of 100 mm dia. High yield of charcoal (>35% d/d basis) combined with high Cfix content (>85%).
(Those interested, I shall send a presentation)

* Can you help us find suppliers of good quality charcoal briquetting equipment (roller presses)? Capacity 1 tonne/h.
