[Gasification] Coal Gasification

Dear Vishwanathan   and  Srinivas  Nuti
 Biomass  has more 02 , thus  direct  gasification via wood gas ,syngas ,
producer gas , get  charcoal is 2 geneneration  of gasification technology
,where torrefaction can play key role , go back  to old  charcoal making ,
then briquete making , before can lead to too much tar , too much fine char
problems 2 times , but very old technology , can be golden one as
Vishwanathan  can be more practical  one for automated GEK small scale
technology.But now days one can see  direct biomass gasification  biochar
as coproduct , fuel additives of very high value have been very well made
as comercial sucess by coolterra biochar .The energy loss will be more the
two stage  charcoal making , cooloing , again briquet making , heatings ,
more steps more loss , but yet can be considereed good one for small scale
rural energy  Vishwanathan , we agree with him  as good apropriate  energy
technology.Howvere the lower energy effiency  may not sustain wit time as
02 in biomass can give methane in seconds via autothermal selgasification
all in one pyrolysis gasifications , watergas shift, biomethanation in
single step  , instead c02 and steam
