Roland,

Try Lauber in Germany. They have a dryer with baskets for firewood that might work. http://www.lauber-holztrockner.de/index-en.html

You can also look at other drying systems designed for firewood. There are direct fired drying kilns. There are several of these shipping container sized kilns available.

Kind regards,

Tom

Subject: [Gasification] Wood Drying

Dear List,

We are trying to find chamber driers for chopped wood (not chipped wood!). The wood is standard size P330 (CEN/TS 14961:2005) (i.e. L =
330 ± 20 and 40 ≤ D ≤ 160 mm). Initial moisture 42% (wet basis), final moisture 15%. We have plenty of residual heat.

Do you know of suppliers of suitable chambers?

Best regards,

Roland Siemons
