Dear Arnt,
the Spanner gasifier is fully automated and fully operational, but it is a very small scale gasifier-engine-system and hence it must come along with little and not so costly equipment.
Beside the regular maintenance there are occasionally some events that require action from the operator (e.g. sensors for detecting the fuel level in the fuel lock and stuff like this).
The operators who are very aware about the needs of the system, live very close to the project site (same ground) and who have the flexibility to do troubleshooting immediately can achieve these high performance levels (I have in mind that the best ever Spanner record is a bit above 8500 h/y).
It is very likely that the system may run without interruption for a period of up to a few weeks.
Please contact Alex Baldauf, who is head of gasifier division, for further information. I am not a representative. You may tell him that I suggested this to you (Alexander.Baldauf at spanner.de).
Mit freundlichen Grüßen / with best regards
Björn Kuntze

..not bad, means an average 23h/day of uptime, how long have you seen these run between maintenance etc shutdowns?
