The unit by Spanner keeps getting mentioned. This is from the website

https://bioenergyinternational.com/technology-suppliers/spanner-re%C2%B2-launches-new-generation-biomass-gasification-chp

Germany-headed Spanner Re² GmbH, a leading manufacturer of biomass gasification plants has announced that it is launching a new wood-based biomass combined heat and power (CHP) plant on the market. With around 68 kWe and 130 kWth, the "HKA 70" is the first of the new generation of the woodchip-fired CHP units from the company. With an electrical efficiency increase of 20 percent, the plant is more powerful and efficient than before.

68 kWe is not small. Is there a known price?

Hi Jess,

regarding your project with a small woodgas CHP, you really should take the Spanner system HKA-10 into closer consideration. Although you mentioned the high price, but at the end you are looking for a system that is not only cheap, but which is also working. And the Spanner system is working. I think that 9 kWe fits for your demand.
If you want to have something cheap, you should look for DIY-equipment instead. Good luck!

HI Paul,

I run a woodchip/firewood business.

We are offgrid, with 3.5 kw of solar and a 5kw generator as backup.

We can get a connection to the grid of 30kwe but only single phase.

I would like to source a chp unit to provide power to us and also to the grid, plus use any heat for drying woodchip.

I presume you can split the 3 phase supply and export OK?

I am allright with nuts and bolts, currently running 2 biomass boilers and drying systems.

Thanks for your interest.

I have looked at the Spanner system but the price does not work with regards to the economic payback.

Yours,

Jess Christman

HI Tom,

I live in Scotland and wonder how All Power Labs PP30 is performing?

We are off grid and produce woodchip, so it would be a good fit. I am just concerned about reliability.

Jess
