[Gasification] How close should the gasifier be to the PC boiler for co-firing?

Dear All,

For two decades, the biomass gasification-based co-firing process was very successful, for example, Lahti Kymijarvi Power Station (shut down in 2019), Vaskiluoto power station, etc.

As we knew, for co-firing, the gasified syngas produced by the gasifier was injected into the pulverized coal (PC) boiler, but how close should the syngas pipeline of the gasifier be to the PC boiler to avoid condensation of tar? Or, what about the need to insulate the syngas pipeline?
