Not exactly horizontal... but on an X configuration planned. Degradation of materials moves down a 45 degree slope. Combusted gas and air coming from below, up and thru grate on angle. My purpose is a reformer. </div><div> </div><div>Doug, you make a good point about shaking, but I'm hoping an action like a "Swedish composting toilet" will work, moving the degenerating char down the slope and ending up in an ash trough, not unlike composting waste. Periodic cleaning...yes, but extended run time with a thru feed process. </div><div> </div><div>I'm on my third generation mould for HT hydraulic refractory for the grate. I don't know if it could handle shaking and a mechanism would be subject to way too
much heat and low pressure. No more penetrations in the vessel than necessary. </div><div> </div><div>Long way to go, but will be worth it if I get 50% H and 25% CO....on my own dime. </div><div> </div><div>Toby </div><div>seilertechco </div><div> </div><div> </div></div></body></html>
