Instead of trying to find a sensor that will live at extreme temperatures, (and will most likely fail at the worst possible time), I would suggest that concentrating on the feedstock consistency and knowing the incoming moisture level, this way, you can extrapolate the feed rate from the gas output and spent char amount.<div>
<br></div><div>Some things are better done (also wiser and cheaper) doing it "Old School"</div><div><br></div><div>"X" feedstock at "Y" moisture level, with a "Z" level of intake air, will result in a bed depth of "Q", for a length of time "R", this would mean that "X" amount of feedstock inputted every cycle of "R" will keep the bed depth at "Q".</div>

The Volter gasifier is very different from the Ankur. It is more like some<br>
other Finnish gasifiers that grew out of Imbert designs. It has a dry filter<br>
which means the gas will be pretty clean coming out of the gasifier. A<br>
scrubber is used for cooling and polishing the gas before going to the<br>
engine. The Ankur uses a direct contact wet scrubber to remove the tars and<br>
oil. It creates a wastewater that can be a problem. Ankur has probably built<br>
between 2000-3000 gasifiers less than 15 kWe.<br>
