<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2><STRONG>Without a detailed description of the
process used, we can guess all we like, and then to know just what they do
destroy in that process could probably give a reasoned answer. Certain types of
downdraft gasification can minimize any dioxin emission if chlorinated plastics
are in the fuel mix, just by preventing CH4 from surviving the oxidation and
reduction process. I would want to see wood or charcoal as the carrier fuel for
these plastics.</STRONG></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2><STRONG>I just Goggled Chlorinated Plastics and
came up with a heap of reading, but other than showing that there are potential
pathways to dispose of these plastics, any gasifier system being proposed
without a proven history for this application would need a very rigorous
test programme. </STRONG></FONT></DIV>
