Yes, looks like great progress. (I am slow to reply because of
extensive travel). <br>

How will all of this fine work be finalized? I think Doug said
he was going to provide final tech diagrams and photos, etc. <br>

Let's make sure that this work is properly recorded and onto
websites, not just in the archives of the Listservs. I will try
to have one (or more) made in Illinois, USA. <br>
<br>
Who else will participate in the replication and testing and
reporting of results about this (or similar) device?<br>

that is about what I had in mind and saves me that drawing :-)
With playing around with pivot points it would be feasible to
get peak leverage exactly where you want it,. Enough weight in
the right place returns the foot pedal to the start point. Yes
you have proven the concept.<br>

Thanks for all the ideas that have been promoted, and
as you can see, I have completed all the variations
possible within the limitations imposed by existing
mechanisms. This pedal linkage allowed me to change
rotating arcs, which in the end all determine the
distance of travel and the forces at the cutting edge.<br>

Having proven the simple hand guillotine both works and
with a reasonable amount of force at the blade, that is
the end of my involvement to make the concept principles
into some thing else. It isn't hard for me to see, that
larger mechanised versions could have plenty of scope to
be included in all sorts of cutting applications, but
don't expect me to design them for you(:-)<br>
