Hi Reuben;

   All that would do, would be to create a few years lag time,
but as the stock of landfill wood builds up, the amount of carbon
released every year also increases, until, just as with burning,
the carbon released will equal the carbon being place there.
So,.on the time scale of the planet, there is no difference.

Yes.....that is the valid comparison, since the problem
is the accelerated release of carbon, from fossil fuels.
Reducing fossil fuel uses, is a good thing.
