I'm planning to do that with a remote-bulb line-voltage thermostat and a 
coffee urn with
a few boiling rocks and a bypassed thermostat and some 1/4" ID polypropylene 
tubing.
(I  bought a 100' roll from US Plastics and have 90' left, if you'd like 
some.) It can also
be a hot tub, if the end of the tubing is underwater.
