[Greenbuilding] critters in the foam

I wonder if the rodent repellent containing cod liver oil or similar that is used for gophers would work. It is granular, spread over the area to be treated. Perhaps an aqueous solution could be prepared and sprayed.

Subject: [Greenbuilding] critters in the foam

I have a problem for which I would love a viable solution. The end is definitely a green possibility because critters are boring through my roof foam thereby causing my house to lose insulation. Over time I figure the bits and pieces we find in our gutters (and inside the house as well) will add to a significant loss.

The roof is a standing seam roof immediately beneath which is 30# felt and many inches of EPS (sorry Rob Tom). The mice must get past the metal roof, probably via the many small openings present in a standing seam roof.

What can I do to stop them? Anything at all.

Thanks Sacie
