We have tongue and groove ceilings,(albeit not with an attic above) and
rigid foam above that for insulation. Were I to do it again, I would
alternate the foam in opposite directions, two layers, to make sure I had
less chance of air leaking through. This was a suggestion made by John
Straube, unfortunately after the ceiling was nearly finished, a good one.
