now, you're talking. An ancient style of roof in Western Europe (and perhaps
beyond) I learned as "Moench & Nonne" or 'monk & nun'. The clay tiles are
all very similar in design, but the roof made of them consists of
alternating the trough-like tiles in rows perpendicular to the ridge with
the convex side up and the concave side up. No goop required.
