[Greenbuilding] Bamboo Floor, Radiant Heat and Thermal Mass

Moral of the story ?  God and the Devil are in the details.

'zackly.  on the face of it, given generous R-values, it sounds like even if
the slab is covered by a somewhat insulative material, it will still be
present as a significant thermal mass.  it then becomes a question of
whether the space is subject to overheating during sunlit hours, due to the
delay of conducting solar gain through the floor covering.  the answer could
be approached by careful modeling using a system that could factor in all
variables, including type of glazing, overhangs, etc.
