The listserver is capable of sending and receiving what ever format of
pictures you can generate. Including wfm extensions. i.e., tiffs, gifs,
jpegs, etc. Knowing how to taking interior shots with lighting issues is a
matter of capabilities at the source. The person taking the photo. If you
understand digital wide angle panorama type photography in conjunction with
lighting techniques you'll be ok and what ever you are attempting to convey
in a photo will work out. If not speak with someone you may know who does
have such capabilities.

If your roof truss measure more that 24" between them you need to replace
the ones that make up the difference or double up the trusses you already
have. Also I would ask a local code official to take a look at the support
beam for the trusses. It sounds undersized. In which case you will need a
structural engineer or architect to determine the correct size of support
beam your trusses require.

This is a test picture of a crawlspace (not mine) to see if the server will
let us send pictures through to the list.

So, assuming I've set things correctly, you will be able to get this
picture, and any other pictures, pdfs and excel spreadsheets as long as the
file is under 1MB in size.

Cheers,

Erin

Erin, are photos not possible in the format we're using for this list serve?

I've wondered a few times if the trend you note has anything to do with the
rise of blogs, web-based discussion forums, etc.? I would not have thought
of myself as someone drawn to one format or another, but when I reflect on
the forums/discussion groups where I spend most of my time these days, they
are mostly 'fancier,' i.e., not e-mail based; they allow photos to be
posted, etc. I know this has come up obliquely once or twice this year.
