[Greenbuilding] heretical observation

working on a project that is pretty damn close to hitting the passive house
specs, and just for a hoot, I reduced insulation values by about 15% for
the floor, walls, and roof.  Bam!  Specific heat demand went from 4.69
KBtu/sf/an up to 5.76.

the Passive House spec, tattoed on my right arm (over the one that reads
"MOTHER"), is 4.75.

but then I put on a sweater and reset the interior temperature, from 68d Fh
down two measly degrees to 66d.  Pow!  Specific heat fell to 4.52,

I know it is heretical to say so, but our expectations have something to do
with sustainability.
