Hi All,

Harkening back to this list's beginnings and thinking of solutions for
developing areas of the world. (so in other words - neither Maine nor Canada
- grin).

Dr. Reddy builds biochar producing cooking stoves, among a lot of other
interesting projects in India. The pictures are his and he is in close
contact with both the people making the char and putting it to use. 

This isn't actually a new concept, in Kenya they use charcoal to make cold
rooms:

Isn't that picture great? It was sent along by a biochar list contributor,
one of these days I'll get to SE Asia and buy him a beer.
