In Quebecois French, the English word "email" translates into "courriel".

In France, the French translate the English word "email" as ... "email".

But to answer SmartA$$ George's question, the following snippet from the
introduction to the French version of the document at the CMHC website :

"Cette édition de Construction de maison à ossature de bois – Canada a été
mise à jour pour tenir compte des exigences du Code national du bâtiment –
Canada 2010 (CNB) concernant les habitations, y compris les nouvelles
exigences d’efficacité énergétique contenues dans les révisions et errata
de 2012 au CNB de 2010. Cela dit, l'ouvrage ne saurait se substituer au
CNB ni aux codes du bâtiment en vigueur dans une localité donnée. On
invite le lecteur à se reporter aux codes, aux normes et à tout autre
règlement visant les bâtiments résidentiels appliqué dans sa province, son
territoire, sa région ou sa municipalité."

Moi ? I'm heading out with my Quebecois mutt "Zhoq!" (translated from his
given French name "Jack"), a saddle back Siberian born near Val des Monts
Quebec, to do some snowshoeing around a nearby lake on the new-fallen snow
that came last night. I dare George (or "Georges" in French) to ask what
the Inuit word is for "snow".
