[Greenbuilding] glass panels as porch roof?

Hi, Reuben--

Using non-tempered glass overhead is not permitted by code in Oregon.

Even tempered glass I think is iffy. It can break, for example if it were stressed along an edge by a stray screw, and if it breaks the falling chunks don't become popcorn size until they hit the floor.
