[Greenbuilding] Water heater blankets?!

I built a finished wood box with 6" clearance to framing and filled with
3"iso foam lining inside the box and infilled with cellulose. I did leave a
tunnel with rigid foam plug to access the controls and element removal
location. I use only a 20 gal tank located between sink and tub. 20
gallons allows me to take a decadent bath. By the time I am done, the water
has warmed to heat the next bath. I get instant hot water on both taps. I
think it works great. It is a homemade deal.

A dry cleaning bag, and a can of spray foam?

Also, be sure to leave access to the temperature controls.
