I will repeat Frank's question, "Does acoustiseal eat at the eps as a
solvent?"

In the articles I have read in Journal of Light construction, they have
advocated using acoustical sealant in foam seams because it does not set up
and is less likely to dry up and crack when there is slight movement.

Hi Eli,

As an aside, this cautionary question comes up for me.

Does acoustiseal eat at the eps as a solvent?

I saw a reference to a motorized caulk gun in JLC article on making
homes air tight. Instead of throw away tubes, it used a 5 gallon
bucket(+-?). Do any on the list have experience with this equipment.
Seems like it could be faster to apply and have less waste. I am
preparing for a job where we will be sealing seams of eps with
acoustical sealants.
Thanks
Eli
