[Greenbuilding] flare fittings for DHW?

Any reason I shouldn't use flare fittings on copper tubing to connect my
http://www.axeman-fireflue.com/ water jacket to the water heater it is
going to supply? The fellow who makes these recommended them and although I
can't recall seeing these joints used for hot water, even wikipedia seems
to approve - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flare_fitting

I was going to sweat the tubing but for various reasons this would I think
be a better solution.
