[Greenbuilding] Staggering 1/2 tonne per person per year cement production!

PBS had a story last night about a cement alternative: http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/cement-alternative-absorbs-carbon-dioxide-like-sponge/
It also mentioned that globally we produce 1/2 tonne cement per person per year. That's more cement than food!
