Lots of history of clay-based buildings dating back hundreds of years in Europe particularly Germany; Minke speaks of these.
In North America, we have followed the work of the Laport’s Econest system, with many installations in a variety of climactic conditions. Their system evolved largely from German examples.
Here on the wild and wet - and dry- west coast, our climate seems to be ideal for a breathing wall system that has the ability to temper and effectively deal with seasonal fluctuations in RH.
