I am looking for people who might wish to host location-based green building groups, or groups about a particular sustainable building topic that interests you.

Here are some examples:

Groups:

If I had a dollar for every person who said, “I am going to start a California group,” well you get the point. But if you’re looking to be a hub for some green building conversations that focus on your area, let me know. The commitment is flexible should be about 1 - 4 posts a week, but the idea is ideally that we can find some collaborators who will also post align with you and make this very easy. This is about sharing information and and news across organizations, companies, neighborhoods, etc. We’d need you to post an intro and an image, and hopefully invite some peers who wish to talk to, but that’s really it.

These groups and this resource are not meant to replace any local organizations or other information sources (including this great group of friends and colleagues), but to support all the organizations and resources out there, and to help share green building information with/between/among a wider audience - both beginner and expert, residential and commercial. We have trouble here in MA sometimes with organizations not knowing about each other’s events and struggling a bit with attendance or overlapping topics. I am hoping to help promote more sharing of events and news, just like Rate It Green’s goal is to help people share information and to help validate products and services in this market. Most of the posts in the MA group are by me, but a few others have chimed in, and organizations are starting to email me to ask me to post their events. Now, I need to encourage them to post of course.
