[Greenbuilding] Fellow Green Builders - Can I Interview You?

Hi Green Building Friends - 

I need to interview you!  

I am excited to report that Rate It Green is part of an accelerator for socially positive businesses hosted by Social Enterprise Greenhouse (SEG) in Providence.  Along with this opportunity comes a reevaluation of everything really, including the core of what I hope to achieve with Rate It Green.    

As a part of this process, one of my mentors has given me a terrific but daunting assignment.  I need to interview at least 20 green building product manufacturers or service providers, and 20 people or companies that buy green building products and services, in the next month if possible.  Can you help?  

Briefly, Rate It Green is a directory, network and information resource for green building products, services, companies and people.  It’s been my hypothesis that we can help each other across industry segments and geographies, and help people newer to green building down the learning curve faster, if we list all the companies, products and services we can, and if we facilitate client reviews and open conversations and groups on almost any green building topic.  

In an interview, we don’t have to talk about Rate It Green directly at all.  And you don’t even have to like the idea of an online resource to connect green builders.  I want to know how you find green building products, services, and information, and where you have found this easier and tougher.  I want to learn how you got into this industry or interest, and what has gone well and… not as well.  If you sell products and services, I want to know a little about how and why you got into this work, and how your work is going to spread the word about what you sell.  

I would greatly appreciate your time.  I promise to take no more than 30 minutes, and less if needed.  And if you are near me in MA, then the coffee’s on me.
