[Greenbuilding] Best attic stairs?

Nice ideas, RT, but...

- don't want to spend the time/energy to self-build, though I suspect that
would be the best way

- extension ladder idea isn't a bad one, but it still requires a fair bit
of f at rting.  (with a 14 year old boy in our house, we get more than enough
of that as it is)

- partially hip roof with ~2' high gable ends means moving the access
outdoors is not practical in this case.
