Hi Beatrice,

My apologies; I didn't read your first post carefully enough in which 
you said that the polysio was structurally compromised and I didn't 
realise the EPDM had holes. Thus the whole thing will have to be 
deconstructed above the ceiling joists.

As this is the case, I think my suggestion of insulating from below has 
merit. The whole process above the ceiling joists would be greatly 
simplified if you merely had to provide a watertight roof/deck and 
insulated from below. You may get some info from this article
