Agreed on the basic reply function -- I recall listservs set the other
way and the problem was all the automated out-of-office replies, etc. (I
run one listserv and set it to follow that protocol.)<br><br>
But the reply all bit is weird, and only happens with this list. I'm on a
couple of other listservs and they don't do that. Plus I'm pretty sure it
didn't happen before the list migrated to the new host.<br><br>
In case it's helpful, my email program is Eudora v6 -- not the most
common client out there. But as I said, it only happens with this list,
so I suspect Eudora isn't the problem.<br><br>
It's not a big deal of course, especially if I'm the only one affected by
it!<br><br>

When you click Reply, it should reply to the list instead of the poster
of the original message. That way someone can click reply, and keep the
thread of the conversation going. In our experience, this setting
is the least-problematic of the available options, although it requires a
little extra work to have a message only directed to the poster. <br>
<br>
The duplication you are seeing with the "reply all" is a little
more unusual. I think it may have more to do with the features and
settings of your particular email program, as I was only able to
duplicate it on one of several email programs I tried. <br>
