I haven't seen this use before but it looks to me like the
reflective scrim folks have found a new marketing niche. It might
work, provided the siding was held off the wall on vertical lath to
provide a drain space and the required air gap to let the reflective
function work.<br>
However, I did not see any mention of a perm rating on their site.
I'd check that before using, lest you block the walls drying
potential to the outside. I'd think that aluminum scrim is a
near-perfect vapor barrier.<br>

years (in Texas hot-humid climate) but I have never heard of
low-e house wrap. I don't know how much more it costs, or its
effectiveness. My recommendation (for Houston) has always been
for adding more insulation in roof, rather than worrying too
much about the walls, in this climate.</div>
