top inlet and bottom inlet tanks are standard fare, perform
differently, and the difference is recognized in the applicable
Standard for these tanks in Canada. Two element, top and bottom are
standard. The innovation, is the third element, both the mid
location of one element and the low wattage of the bottom element.
Hydro Quebec produces no tanks, but they have a big research fund.
They studied time of use or off-peak a couple of years ago (2000
customer pilot) but no residential off-peak is yet available.<br>

but I did have look at the website and, while I guess Hydro
Quebec is a reputable outfit, what they are derscribing has
all the smell of a scam. The description of the functions of
the elements seems strange. The most bizarre is the patch
telling us that the currently available version has the cold
inlet at the bottom of the tank. I wonder where the inlet is
going to be on the next version.</span></font></div>
