      but as I said earlier, the high tempera</font>tures generated at
    the heating source kill bacteria in a second of contact time, and
    the strong convection loops that form mix the water up and pass it
    over the heating source.<br>

    They heat hotwater electrically the same way in Quebec as everywhere
    else, using the same products as north America at least.  That hydro
    Quebec link was just trying to get people to do it differently.<br>
