I had forgotten that the Daikan Quaternity. Some of the systems
play games with saying the do RH control, but this unit actually
does more than sub-cool and slow airflow (which numerous systems
do to improve performance.<br>
It works by splitting the coil into one for cooling and one for
heating. This overcomes the limit of temperature swing. It
pretty much does what you would want but the coils are not sized
for it to work just like a dehumidifier, (eg it cant heat the air
up all the way so some cooling still happens) but its SHR is quite
low. Cant get an answer from them..<br>

Check out the Daikin Quaternity. I believe it's the only ductless heat pump that can
dehumidify a space and maintain its set temperature. Our unit can't do that so
we've done much as you've previously described -- run it in dry mode for an hour
or so and then switch back to heat. It's the only way we can wring out excess
humidity during moderately warm and humid days without experiencing an
uncomfortable drop in room temperature.
