We picked up an old iron door knocker on a trip to Barcelona several years ago. Weighs at least a pound, it is in the shape of a hand holding an apple (Spanish = "aldaba"). When it smacks the metal plate it rests against it can be heard loud and clear anywhere in our 2-story home.
