is correct, 2.1 kWh recovered from the grey water. The meter for this is a
standard commercial heat meter made by Maddalena which is simply
connected in front of the heat exchanger with the output thermometer
incorporated in the supply to the tank and cold tap. This gives flow,
temperature difference, power, and accumulated energy, everything except
real-tiime rate of change. The tank has its own standard kWh meter. There is
also an additional water meter exclusive to the tank, hence I can determine
heat exchanger volume to cold tap. This means that not all the 2.1 kWh goes to
heating the tank, but that which doesn't reduces demand on the tank, and
the daily energy use is still 7kWh. That is as close as I can determine things.
I am currently making up a microcontroller that works trhe same as the
Maddalena, but also gives live reaction time and it can be viewed remotely
over the internet.</SPAN></FONT></DIV>
