Yeah that is actually very much like what I have.
It is called BIBS (Blown In Blanket System).
Cute.

So how would you propose gluing it?
1) apply glue to bank of studs with roller;

2) unfurl and staple precut section of mesh to studs?

Or something else?

Not sure what stuff you are referring to, but it
brought to mind the idea of horticultural floating row
cover or frost blanket. It comes in various weights and
roll sizes. It should be easy to glue to studs and poke
holes where you need to.

to stretch over open stud bays before blowing
cellulose into them. My question for the brain
trust is how you keep this stuff snug up against
the studs, so no cellulose can force itself
between the mesh and the studs, which would
interfere with subsequent attempts to hang
drywall?

On the stuff I used previously (I think it was
recommended by someone here) the hole size was
1/4" square and I stapled it to the studs and then
rolled glue up and down the stud faces *through*
the holes. That method worked o.k. But this stuff
is more like a hospital gown. I wonder if the glue
would work its way through the tiny holes to
adhere the stuff to the stud faces?
I'm open to all suggestions.
Mostly I'm looking forward to a lot less blowback
with this stuff!
