The Partnership for Clean Indoor Air’s (PCIA) Impacts of Household Fuel Consumption for Biomass Stove Programs in India, Nepal and Peru webinar on August 11, 2011, was a huge success!

Seventy-four Partners from 22 countries participated in this webinar where Michael Johnson, Berkeley Air Monitoring Group, shared the methods used and results of the EPA-funded KPT training and technical assistance program supporting Partner organizations in India, Nepal and Peru.

Michael presented a wide range of stove performance data measuring the impacts of household fuel consumption for biomass stove programs in these three countries. He provided key insights on the value of field testing to assess fuel consumption and potential fuel savings. Michael also discussed how to apply these insights to Partners’ programs and shared recommendations for increasing field assessments to better characterize ‘real-world’ stove performance across a range of technologies and fuels.
